Training Reimbursement

We Invest in Your Growth

The Blahaj Church believes that building skills is a sacred act of self-care and community care. We offer training reimbursement to board members, officers, and congregants on a case-by-case basis. All are strongly encouraged to apply.

Training we're especially eager to support includes:

  • Safety training – first aid, CPR, de-escalation techniques, personal safety, or vehicle safety courses
  • Self-defense – martial arts, self-defense classes, or personal safety workshops
  • Public speaking – effective presentations and community engagement skills

If you're interested, reach out to the church office at info@blahajchurch.org. The board, treasurer, or First Minister will consider requests based on relevance to our mission, quality, and cost of the training.

Grants for Affirming Documents

Your Documents Should Reflect Who You Are

Having legal documents that reflect your lived gender can make a real difference — reducing harassment and opening access to essential services. We know that cost can be a barrier, and we don't want it to stand in your way.

The Blahaj Church offers grants to help cover the cost of obtaining affirming legal documents. If this is something you need, we encourage you to apply by contacting us at info@blahajchurch.org.

Board Opportunities

Our board has open seats, and we welcome new voices. Board members serve one-year terms and help guide the direction of the church. As part of our commitment to the community we serve, a majority of board seats must be held by trans, gender non-conforming, or intersex individuals.

If you're interested in helping shape the future of the Blahaj Church, we'd love to hear from you. Learn more about our governance structure, or email us at info@blahajchurch.org to express your interest.
